Catering Association hosts first Gastronomy Night
The Zambia Hostels and Catering Association has hosted the inaugural Gastronomy Night in Lusaka.
Gastronomy is the practice or art of choosing, cooking, and eating good food in particular area.
The event was aimed at showcasing the country’s diverse local cuisine and promoting indigenous Zambian foods.
Tourism Minister, RODNEY SIKUMBA, who graced the occasion, emphasized the importance of traditional food in the tourism sector.
He noted that the event would help people appreciate the role of local cuisine in promoting tourism.
And President of the Hostels and Catering Association of Zambia, CHRISTOPHER NSENJE, expressed gratitude to the Minister for his continued support to the association.
