Zambia Joins OECD

Zambia has officially joined the Organisation for Economic Corporation and Development- OECD- as its fifty-sixth member and 12th African country.
The Organisation for Economic Corporation and Development works to help countries with developing economies to achieve sustainable growth.
Tourism Minister, RODNEY SIKUMBA said Zambia’s membership to the organisation is a significant milestone for the country to design better policies and intensify the implementation of reforms, to archive tangible economic growth
Mr. SIKUMBA was speaking at the OECD welcome ceremony, held during the 9th high-level meeting of the center’s governing board in Paris, France.
