Govt reaffirms AU Principles of Public Service and Administration

Government has reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the principles of the African Union Charter on Values and Principles of Public Service and Administration.
The charter promotes high standards of public service delivery, transparency, and the fight against corruption.
Secretary to the Cabinet PATRICK KANGWA has underscored the importance of oversight institutions, such as the Anti-Corruption Commission and the Zambia Police Service, in preventing and addressing malpractice and corruption in the public sector.
He was speaking at the Ministerial Meeting of the third Conference of Parties to the African Charter on Values and Principles of Public Service and Administration in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Mr KANGWA said the government has introduced several initiatives to promote integrity, accountability, and transparency in the public service.
