Mweetwa shocked with Tonse Alliance

Chief Government Spokesperson CORNELIUS MWEETWA has expressed shock that some individuals in the Tonse Alliance continue to reject the Constitutional Court ruling on presidential eligibility.

Mr. MWEETWA notes that several Patriotic Front -PF- Members of Parliament have accepted the judgment and have called on the former President to embrace his role as a statesman.

He further told ZNBC News that the former president should be left to rest and focus on taking up his role as a statesman.

Mr. MWEETWA said any violation of the law, regardless of political affiliation, will be met with the full force of the legal system.

He said the alliance’s refusal to accept the judgment reveals that they have run out of ideas in their attempt to seek political relevance.
