Rafmol Gold of UAE seeks to exploit Zambia’s geolocation for investment

Chief Financial Officer at Rafmol Gold of United Arab Emirates-UAE, MICHAEL JOSEPH STAFORD says investors in the UAE want to work with the Zambian government to invest in Zambia for the benefit the Zambian people.
Mr. STAFORD says Zambia has abundant natural resources that should benefit the people of Zambia.
He says Zambia can be a central hub for trade in central Africa especially that it connects eight countries and has a growing network.
Mr. STAFORD says UAE imports over forty billion dollars of precious metals every year, sixty percent of which come from Africa with Zambia contributing about a billion dollars a year into that.
He was speaking in Livingstone last evening during a cocktail dinner hosted for the UAE delegation.
Speaking at the same event, Tourism Minister RODNEY SIKUMBA thanked investors from UAE for making a right investment choice in Zambia.
He said under the current government, the investors are assured to get the returns of their investment.
And Southern Province Minister CREDO NANJUWA said the Province is excited to host the foreign investments which he says will create jobs for the local people.
