Govt to construct police post in Kawana,Chingola

Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security Jack Mwiimbu says the government will construct a police post in Kawama Township, Chililabombwe District.

Mr. Mwiimbu says he is aware that the people of Kawama have been waiting for the construction of a police post for a long time.

He was speaking while drumming up support for UPND candidate Kanengo Nawa in the Kawama Ward by-election.

And Mr. Mwiimbu said the government has already identified a contractor to work on township roads in Chililabombwe, including the road from Kasumbalesa to Kawama Township.

Meanwhile, Copperbelt Minister Elisha Matambo has urged the people in the area to vote for Mr. Nawa to ensure continued development.

Mr. Matambo stated that the people of Kawama and the Copperbelt at large are now living peacefully because the government has brought in the rule of law.
