105,000 people in Lusaka get drought emergency cash transfer
Over 105,000 people in Lusaka have benefited from the government’s drought emergency cash transfers in the third quarter of 2024.
During the same period, the government distributed 2,632 metric tonnes of relief white maize across all districts in the province to support those affected by the drought.
Lusaka Province Minister Sheal Mulyata disclosed this during the third-quarter Provincial Development Coordinating Committee meeting, which was held virtually.
Ms. Mulyata urged all District Commissioners to collaborate in fostering meaningful economic, human, and social development while also promoting good governance and environmental sustainability.
