Police arrest 3 Chinese nationals involved in the Zambezi Mall shooting

Three Chinese nationals have been arrested in Lusaka in connection with the shooting incidents which took place at Sun City and Zambezi Mall.

Two other Chinese nationals were wounded in the respective shooting incidents which took place last Thursday December 12, 2024.

Police Spokesperson, RAE HAMOONGA has confirmed the arrest of the 3 suspects stating that one Chinese national, identified as YANG TAHAN, who is also a suspect, is on the run.

Mr HAMOONGA has identified the arrested suspects as HEMING YANG, aged 41, CHEN FENG, aged 36, and YANG HOUCAI, aged 43, all of Lusaka.

He has explained that investigations into the shooting have advanced to establish the motive, adding that the fire-arm, a pistol, which is believed to have been used has been seized.
