SP traditional leaders praise Govt for building palaces
ZANIS-Traditional leaders in Southern Province have applauded the government for the construction of 19 chiefs’ palaces, which are at different stages of construction, with one having been completed and commissioned this year.
Chief Chikanta of the Tonga people in Kalomo District, whose palace is at roof level, thanked the government for the construction of the modern palaces that have come with an office and two retainers’ houses.
Meanwhile, Chief Cooma of the Tonga people in Choma said the construction of chiefs’ palaces has brought dignity to the chieftainship in the province.
Chief Cooma further thanked President Hakainde Hichilema for empowering traditional leaders with agricultural inputs.
