The Zambia Revenue Authority -ZRA- has urged taxpayers to meet the 2024 end-of-year tax deadline to avoid disruptions in their business operations.
ZRA Corporate Communications Manager, OLIVER NZALA, says businesses and individuals should ensure that all documents will be invalid as of 1st January 2025.
Mr. NZALA told ZNBC News, that VAT-registered suppliers must note that from 1st January 2025, input tax claims will only be accepted for invoices issued through the Smart Invoice system.
He also called on Importers, Exporters, and Clearing Agents with outstanding entries or transactions to finalise them promptly to avoid inconveniences.
Mr. NZALA said taxpayers are also encouraged to submit all outstanding tax returns and settle payments by 31st December 2024 to qualify for a new Tax Clearance Certificate for 2025.
