“Opposition party alliances not united”
By Ruth Chayinda
Some stakeholders have described the failure by opposition political party alliances to agree on candidates to field as a sign of disunity.
Operation Youth Vote Executive Director, Guess Nyirenda, told ZNBC News that the action by the opposition alliances shows that they are not committed to working together.
In a separate interview, UPND Consultant, Mark Simmuwe, said the recent happenings show that the opposition political party alliances are failing to agree among themselves.
Historian Eustance Chiputa said it is important for alliances to carry out negotiations and determine the benefits among themselves to avoid the breakdown of alliances.
However, the United Kwacha Alliance (UKA) said the failure to field one candidate in Petauke and Pambashe is just part of the process.
