Three thousand six hundred people were voluntarily resettled by the Resettlement Department under the Office of the Vice President last year.
Director of Resettlement, Cooper Chibomba, says the majority of those resettled are women and youth.
Mr. Chibomba told ZNBC News that the government has identified 42 sites across the country for involuntary resettlement.
He said the sites are primarily targeting individuals in flood-prone areas and those affected by natural disasters, adding that no one has been resettled at those sites yet.
