Chavuma Town Council FC Returns to Action After Tragic Road Accident

North-Western Province Division One League side, Chavuma Town Council Football Club, is back in action after last year’s fatal road accident, which claimed the lives of several players on the spot.

The Chavuma Town Council FC team was involved in a road accident between the Lukunyi and Ndondo areas in Zambezi District, while traveling to Mufumbwe for a scheduled fixture.

Club Registrar Stephen Nonde says the team is working hard to regain its position in the league.

Nonde acknowledges that it has not been an easy journey for the team to return to action, given the loss of key players and resources as a result of the accident.

He adds that the team’s primary goal is to survive relegation in their debut season in the Provincial Division One League
