By Ruth Chayinda
President Hakainde Hichilema has joined hundreds of mourners to pay their last respects to Healing Ministries Church International Pastor Moses Chiluba.
Speaking during the funeral service, Church mother bodies representative Andrew Mwenda said Pastor Chiluba will be remembered for his contribution to the body of Christ and the nation.
Bishop Mwenda, who is EFZ Executive Director, said the late pastor’s influence, faithfulness, integrity, and soul-winning will remain a legacy that will be upheld.
He said Pastor Chiluba, whose spiritual journey spanned from Dr. Kenneth Kaunda to President Hichilema, strived to work with all presidents and never took advantage of that opportunity for self-gain.
Media Owners Association Representative Costa Mwansa said the media fraternity has lost a cardinal media owner who contributed to the growth of the private media.
Mr. Mwansa said due to his continued counsel, the private media strived to be a united front as they carried their mandate of informing and entertaining the public.
Meanwhile, CAMNET TV former and current staff, represented by Kalani Muchima, thanked Pastor Chiluba for the opportunity he gave to each worker to grow their careers in the media fraternity.
Children and grandchildren of Pastor Chiluba have thanked God for the opportunity granted to them to spend and share their lives with him.
Others who poured out their heartfelt tributes included clergy from within and outside Zambia, and the Zambia Golf Union.
