CHAN tournament postponed to August

The 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament has been postponed from February to August.

According to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the tournament has been moved due to infrastructure challenges.

Meanwhile, the draws will be held as scheduled in Kenya tomorrow at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre.

Chipolopolo CHAN-bound Coach Wedson Nyirenda has expressed disappointment with the changes in dates as the team was geared to face the continent next month.

Nyirenda said the period will, however, give the technical bench enough time to prepare for the Championship.

Nyirenda also said he expects a tough draw but added that the team will be ready for any opponent.

He said the aim is to make it past the group stages as the team targets to win the $3.5 million title
