Judgment Day in Dr. Tasila Tembo Murder Case

The Lusaka High Court Judge Sharon Newa is expected to deliver judgment today in the murder case of former Ministry of Health Deputy Spokesperson, Dr. Tasila Tembo.
Dr. Tembo was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend, then Zambia Army soldier Lieutenant Nigel Mwaba, between October 25 and 26, 2020, after a dispute.
The trial in the matter started in 2021 and was initially handled by former Mongu High Court Judge Wilfred Muma.
The case was later re-allocated to Judge Newa.
