Tasila Tembo’s lover sentenced to life for murder

Former Ministry of Health Deputy Spokesperson, Dr. Tasila Tembo’s lover, Nigel Mwaba, has been convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering her.

The former Zambia Army Lieutenant was found guilty and sentenced today by Lusaka High Court Judge Sharon Newa.

In this matter, Lieutenant Mwaba was facing one count of murder, following an incident that happened between October 24 and 26, 2020.

Delivering judgment, Judge Newa said she was satisfied that the state had proved there was evidence of malice aforethought and that Lieutenant Mwaba intended to do grievous harm to Dr. Tasila.
