Airports Corporation denies misconduct in tender award
By Sharon Siame
Zambia Airports Corporation Limited has dismissed allegations of misconduct in awarding a tender for cleaning services across its properties.
Zambia Airports Corporation Limited Managing Director, NGOZA MATAKALA says the Corporation adheres strictly to Zambia Public Procurement Authority -ZPPA- regulations and that all tenders are transparently uploaded to the Electronic Government Procurement platform.
Ms. MATAKALA says the tender in question involves the provision of hybrid cleaning solutions, including general cleaning and high-level maintenance, for international airports that collectively serve thousands of passengers daily.
She says that the due process was followed and the tender was awarded to the best-evaluated bidder in line with ZPPA guidelines.
Ms. MATAKALA says the tender is currently in the mandatory five-day standstill period, which allows bidders to formally raise any grievances with ZPPA.
She says Zambia Airports Corporation Limited strongly encourages any aggrieved parties to submit their concerns through the proper channels outlined by ZPPA.
