President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has called on Toyota Tsusho Corporation to expedite the resumption of feasibility studies for the proposed PV Solar Power Station in Zambia.
President HICHILEMA says this will resonate with government’s commitment to energy security through diversification of energy sources.
He says the New Dawn administration, has introduced key reforms to open the energy sector to private investment, as a driver of economic growth and industrial production.
The President said this when he held discussions with Toyota Tsusho Corporation’s leadership, led by Group President and Chief Executive Officer Mr. ICHIRO KASHITANI.
President HICHILEMA also called on Toyota to establish a parts manufacturing plant in Zambia that could integrate with Toyota’s manufacturing operations in South Africa.
This is according to a Statement issued to ZNBC News by State House Chief Communications Specialist CLAYSON HAMASAKA.
