Tasila Lungu Arrested and Charged

Chawama Member of Parliament, TASILA LUNGU, has been arrested for money laundering and possession of property suspected to be proceeds of crime.

Ms. LUNGU’s lawyer, CHARLES CHANGANO says Ms. LUNGU has been arrested and charged by the Drug Enforcement Commission -DEC in Lusaka today.

Mr. CHANGANO says one of the properties in question includes a farm located in Eastern Province, valued at approximately 8.8 million Kwacha.

Mr. CHANGANO further said the Chawama lawmaker has been released on bond and awaiting a court appearance.
