Lusaka Authorities Assess Properties Built on Sewer Lines

Authorities in Lusaka have started assessing properties in various parts of the city that were built on sewer lines, consequently causing blockages.
This is a joint exercise between the Ministry of Water Development and the Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company.
Speaking when he visited selected properties in the Chelston area, Water Development Permanent Secretary Romas Kamanga stated that the level of encroachment will determine the solutions.
Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company Managing Director, Jilly Chiyombwe said encroachment is one of the major causes of sewer blockages.
