“New education curriculum is a visionary document”

Education Minister Douglas Syakalima says the new education curriculum is a visionary document designed to create a competitive workforce.

In a ministerial statement delivered in the National Assembly today, Mr. Syakalima said the 2023 Zambia Education Curriculum was developed through a consultative process and that it is being implemented in a phased, structured, and methodical manner.

Mr. Syakalima explained that the curriculum framework was designed and validated by stakeholders, and approved by the Cabinet for implementation.

He disclosed that 30,000 copies have been printed and distributed to schools.
