
HH Announces New Appointments
President Hakainde Hichilema has terminated the appointment of Muchinga Province Minister Henry Sikazwe and Gregory Ngowani as Government Deputy Chief Whip.
The President has also terminated the appointments of Muchinga Province Permanent Secretary Henry Mukungule, Lusaka Province Permanent Secretary Robert Kamalata, and Luapula Province Permanent Secretary Mighty Mumba.
President Hichilema has also dismissed Ringo Zulu, who was the Controller of Internal Audit at the Ministry of Finance and National Planning.
This is according to a statement issued to ZNBC News by State House Principal Private Secretary Bradford Machila.
President Hichilema has also terminated the appointments of Home Affairs Permanent Secretary Josephs Akafumba, Copperbelt Province Permanent Secretary Augustine Kasongo, and Permanent Secretary for Special Duties Mwamba Peni, who are pending redeployment.
Meanwhile, President Hichilema has appointed Njavwa Simutowe as Muchinga Province Minister, Nason Musonda as Luapula Province Minister, and Likando Mufalali as Government Deputy Chief Whip.
The President has also appointed Mulele Mulele as Permanent Secretary for Economic Management and Finance, Mwaka Mukubesa as Permanent Secretary for Budget and Economic Affairs, and Prudence Kaoma as Permanent Secretary for Planning Administration at the Ministry of Finance and National Planning.
President Hichilema has further appointed Lazarous Mwanza as Permanent Secretary for Copperbelt Province, Prudence Chinama as Permanent Secretary for Luapula Province, and Reverend Mathews Chilekwa as Permanent Secretary for Muchinga Province.
President Hichilema has transferred Ministry of Local Government Permanent Secretary Maambo Hamaundu to the Ministry of Defence, while Norman Chipakupaku has been moved to the Office of the Vice President as DMMU National Coordinator.
Gabriel Pollen has been transferred to the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, while Patrick Mucheleka, who was at Cabinet Office, moves to the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources.
Joe Kalusa has been transferred to Lusaka Province as Permanent Secretary.
President Hichilema has thanked the officials whose contracts have been terminated for their service to the government.
The President has also congratulated the newly appointed officials and wished them God’s blessings in their new roles.
