ZRA Registers Over 19,000 Landlords for Rental Income Tax

The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has registered 19,087 landlords for rental income tax.

ZRA Corporate Communication Manager Oliver Nzala says the authority has been working with 33 local authorities since 2024 in the collection of base and turnover rental income.

Mr. Nzala told ZNBC News that the engagement of local authorities resulted in the collection of slightly over 15 million Kwacha.

He said ZRA is also working with appointed withholding tax agents for rental income tax and turnover tax.
