Over 4.6 Million Learners Benefit from School Feeding Programme

Over 4.6 million learners across the country have benefited from the school feeding programme.

Ministry of Education Assistant Director and Head of Communications, Kunda Mando, says the programme is essential and has enhanced learners’ performance.

Speaking during the tour of some schools, Ms. Mando explained that the feeding programme has also helped reduce absenteeism.

She said the government will continue to provide initiatives aimed at mitigating hunger levels in schools.
