FAZ General-Secretary to oversee operations temporarily

Football Association of Zambia –FAZ- General-Secretary, REUBEN KAMANGA is expected to run the affairs of the association, following the expiry of tenure for the Executive Committee.

National Sports Council of Zambia Director, SOMBWA MUSUNSA says this is until FAZ ushers in a new Executive Committee on March 29, 2025.

MUSUNSA has explained that this should be so because the General-Secretary of FAZ is the Chief Executive Officer of the association.

He says this decision is in accordance with the guidance given by the office of the Attorney-General, both to the sports council and FAZ.

MUSUNSA has warned that any defiance to the order will attract penalties; therefore the FAZ Secretariat should work in collaboration with the sports council until the elections are held.

He was speaking during the Savenda Sports Show on ZNBC’s Radio 4.
