
Shalina Recalls Malaria Drug, Batch 2390784

Shalina Pharmaceuticals Zambia Limited has recalled a malaria drug for Children.
The drug is Shal’Artem (Artemether 180mg/Lumefantrine 1080mg), powder for oral suspension.
It bears a batch number 2390784 with expiry date of November 2025.
The urgent recall is being done in consultation with the Zambia Medicines and Regulatory Authority- ZAMRA.
In an urgent product recall Notification, Shalina Pharmaceuticals Zambia limited has with immediate effect ceased distribution and sale of the affected product.
Shalina has also quarantined any remaining stock to prevent further circulation, return the recalled product to where supply was gotten from Shalina Pharmaceuticals in Lusaka and Kitwe offices.
The Pharmaceutical Company says it is working closely with regulatory authorities to ensure the swift removal of the affected product from the market for the safety of the public.
