
K159m Disbursed to 66,000 Vulnerable Households in NP

Over one hundred and fifty-nine million Kwacha of the Drought Emergency Social Cash Transfer funds has been disbursed to 66,000 vulnerable households in Northern Province.
Northern Province Principal Public Relations Officer Sandra Mulenga says the program is targeting vulnerable households in all 12 districts.
In a statement to ZNBC News in Lusaka, Ms. Mulenga explained that the emergency Social Cash Transfer is being implemented from July 2024 to July 2025.
Ms. Mulenga also says the government is supporting over one hundred households on the regular Social Cash Transfer in the province.
She says this includes over 10,000 households with persons living with disabilities.
Meanwhile, the government has expanded support to 12,000 girls through the Keeping Girls in School initiative in Northern Province.
