Kankoyo MP Welcomes HH’s Call for MP Involvement in Local Authority Decisions

Kankoyo Member of Parliament Heartson Mabeta has welcomed President Hakainde Hichilema’s pronouncement that Members of Parliament should participate in Local Authority decisions to enhance the implementation of projects across the country.

Mr. Mabeta says with the increment of Constituency Development Funds (CDF) to 36.1 million Kwacha, it is important that projects are delivered on time for the benefit of the people.

The Kankoyo lawmaker also expressed his pleasure that President Hichilema has highlighted the need for the delimitation of large constituencies.

Mr. Mabeta says doing so will make it easier to spread development for the benefit of citizens.

He has since urged Members of Parliament to prioritize national development regardless of political affiliation to fully benefit from President Hichilema’s leadership.
