Trump pauses US military aid to Ukraine

(BBC) The US is pausing military aid to Ukraine, a White House official confirms to the BBC’s US partner CBS News

“We are pausing and reviewing our aid to ensure that it is contributing to a solution,” the official says.
This is a major escalation between the US and Ukraine – and will heap more pressure on Zelensky.

The US is by far the biggest source of military aid to Ukraine.

The development comes hours after Trump criticised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for saying the end of the war with Russia is “very, very far away.”
