
Public Procurement Reforms designed to Improve Service Delivery-Kangwa
Government says it is committed to reforming the public procurement process to ensure efficient service delivery.
In a speech read on his behalf by Permanent Secretary for Special Duties at Cabinet Office LUCKSON KASONKA in Chongwe, Secretary to the Cabinet PATRICK KANGWA said an efficient procurement system is important in developing the country.
Mr. KANGWA has called on Council Workers to ensure that they comply with the set procurement procedures.
He has assured of government’s commitment to strengthen local procurement structures and ensure effective implementation of the decentralization process.
And President of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply DANIEL KABAMBA has tasked procurement officers to work within the procurement principles.
Earlier, Smart Zambia and the Ministry of Justice also pledged their commitments to ensuring that electronic systems are operating effectively to increase efficiency in the procurement process.
