2 Highway Truck Robbers Nabbed

Two suspects have been apprehended in connection with attacks on a truck driver on the Chirundu-Kafue road, which happened on March 2, 2025.

The suspects were apprehended following investigations with the help of the Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority -ZICTA.

Police Spokesperson, RAE HAMOONGA has confirmed and identified one of the suspects as JOSHUA MWINDILILA, aged 41, of Chikangabwe West in Mumbwa.

Mr HAMOONGA identified the second suspect as JUSTIN MUCHALA of Kafue Gorge.

He  explained that MWINDILILA was traced as one of the buyers of the items stolen from the truck driver, JOHN SAMAKAYI, after he was attacked.

Mr HAMOONGA has added that MUCHALA was apprehended while attempting to hide in the Kafue Gorge area.
