“Zambia is one of the most attractive investment destinations in Africa”

The Canadian Government says Zambia is one of the most attractive investment destinations in Africa.

Parliamentary Secretary to Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, ROB OLIPHANT has cited political stability, good governance, and strong economic potential as attributes that make Zambia one of the favorite investment destinations.

Mr. OLIPHANT said this during a bilateral meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister MULAMBO HAIMBE on the sidelines of the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group (CMAG) meeting in London.

Mr. OLIPHANT has proposed organizing a Canadian trade mission to Zambia to expose Canadian businesses to investment opportunities.

And Mr. HAIMBE has reaffirmed Zambia’s commitment to fostering a favorable investment environment.

The Minister updated the Canadian delegation on Zambia’s efforts to attracting investment in the mining sector, including a recently launched high-resolution geophysical survey aimed at identifying mineral-rich areas for exploration.
