
Ukusefya Pang’wena set for August 7 to 9, 2025
(ZANIS) The Bemba Royal Establishment says this year’s Ukusefya Pang’wena traditional ceremony will take place from August 7 to 9, 2025.
Senior Chief NKULA, who disclosed the dates during the Ilamfya traditional council in Kasama, Northern Province, said this year’s ceremony will be unique.
Senior Chief NKULA has emphasized the need for participating chiefdoms to leverage the event for business opportunities.
And Paramount Chief CHITIMUKULU, who spoke through his secretary, RICHARD MUKUKA, disclosed that he intends to invite Native Americans to the ceremony in a bid to foster cultural exchange.
The Paramount Chief explained that the initiative follows his 2018 visit to the United States, where he interacted with Native American communities.
Meanwhile, Ukusefya Pang’wena organising Committee Vice Chairperson, BWALYA CHITEBA said the announcement of the dates marks the starting of preparations for the event.
