
Lusaka man arrested for impersonating Brigadier General
A 30-year-old man from Lusaka, has been arrested in Choma, Southern province, for impersonating as a senior officer in the Zambia Army.
ISAAC TWAFUWA, of Makeni Villa area, was impersonating to be an officer, and promising unsuspecting people jobs in the army in exchange for money.
The suspect had also uploaded on social media pictures of himself in an army uniform, with the rank of Brigadier-General.
Southern Province Police Commanding Officer, AUXENSIO DAKA has confirmed, saying the suspect carried out his illegal activities between March 2025 and April 21, 2025, in Lusaka and Choma.
Mr DAKA has explained that the suspect was taken to Choma Central Police Station, after he was discovered by Zambia Army Officers, who were on patrol in Masuku area.
He has explained that upon investigations, police officers went to search the suspect’s hideout, where they discovered a Military triangle hat and a green belt, 2 drill canes, 9 smart phones with pictures of himself dressed in military uniform.
Mr DAKA says police have also seized a vehicle, registration number ALF 5520, from the suspect.
