Govt salutes SEEDCO Seed Innovations

Northwestern province Minister ROBERT LIHEFU says the government is impressed with SEEDCO Zambia’s continued agricultural innovations that have over the years promoted food security in the country.

In a speech read on his behalf by Deputy Permanent Secretary MULOFWA KATIKI, Mr. LIHEFU said the climate smart seeds that SEEDCO keeps bringing on the market are key in fighting national misfortunes such as the recently experienced drought.

This was during the 2024 post harvest field day in Kasempa district.

Mr. LIHEFU urged farmers in the country to prioritize farming as a business.

Speaking at the same event, Chief CHIKANTA of Kalomo district assured the Government that the traditional leadership remains committed to partnering with the Government through various poverty alleviation initiatives.
