RDA Starts rehabilitation works on Chipata-Chadiza road

The Road Development Agency -RDA- has started doing spot improvement on the Chipata-Chadiza road as it awaits major rehabilitation.
The agency has since received an initial funding of 3 million Kwacha for the current works.
Eastern Province RDA manager IVWANANJI SIKOMBE says the road is earmarked for upgrading to bituminous standard.
Mr SIKOMBE was speaking when Eastern Province Deputy Permanent Secretary LEWIS MWAPE inspected the road rehabilitation works on the Chipata/Chadiza and Chipata/Vubwi.
And Dr MWAPE said the provincial administration will take keen interest in monitoring the works.
He said Chadiza and Vubwi District are critical areas in the economic development of the nation.
Government released 7.6 million Kwacha for the rehabilitation of the Chipata/Vubwi road which is nearing completion.
