ACC assured whistles blowers of Protection
The Anti-Corruption Commission -ACC- has urged whistle blowers to feel free to share information without getting worried of being exposed.
ACC Director General TOM SHAMAKAMBA says the Public Interest Disclosure-Whistle Blowers Act Number 4 of 2010, which the ACC has enacted, provides protection for any person sharing information with relevant authorities.
Mr. SHAMAKAMBA said this during the commemoration of the African Anti Corruption Day in Lusaka today.
He said the anti corruption day should be used to reflect on the dangers of corruption and evaluate efforts in the fight against the scourge.
Meanwhile, ACC Assistant Director Public Education Department MASAUSO NYANGULU said the commission will continue to sensitize the public about the dangers of corruption and how it negatively affects development.
