ECZ to implement Continuous Voter Registration for inmates

The Electoral Commission of Zambia -ECZ- is working out measures to implement the Continuous Voters Registration in all the Correctional facilities across the country.

ECZ Commissioner Retired Major General VINCENT MUKANDA said the Commission last carried out the voter registration exercise for inmates in 2021.

General MUKANDA told ZNBC news that the Continuous Registration of Voters in correctional facilities will only be done when resources are mobilized.

He said the registration of inmate will allow the commission to capture those who are yet to register as voters .
