US Envoy calls on Chitimukulu
The United States (US) Embassy in Zambia says the American government appreciates the role traditional leadership plays in promoting progress and development for the people.
US Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission LINNISA WAHID says strong traditional leadership is very vital to the development of every chiefdom.
Ms WAHID notes that traditional leadership is key to service delivery and development strategies to be implemented in rural areas.
The Deputy Chief of Mission said this when she paid a courtesy call on Paramount Chief Chitimukulu at his residence in Kasama.
And the traditional leader noted that Northern Province is endowed with so much water, but its people have challenges accessing it.
Meanwhile, Northern Deputy Permanent Secretary BEAUTY PHIRI highlighted that USAID has been implementing 13 activities in the province.
