The World Bank group says it is currently working on Zambia’s Country Partnership Framework -CPF- that will help improve the economy and create more jobs.
The Framework will run from 2025 to 2029.
World Bank Managing Director WENCAI ZHANG disclosed this when he called on President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA at State House today.
Dr. ZHANG said the World Bank acknowledges the energy crisis in Zambia and that the support will be extended to investment in renewable energy.
And President HICHILEMA said the support from the World Bank has helped stabilize many economic sectors.
President HICHILEMA said Zambia has been looking at alternatives to mitigate the effects of drought and every support is appreciated.
The President said in the agriculture sector, government has been improving resilience and is reducing over dependence on rains by engaging in drip irrigation, among other alternatives.
