Green Economy & Climate Change Bill to be presented to Parley

The 2024 Green Economy and Climate Change Bill will soon be presented to Parliament.
Green Economy and Environment Minister MIKE MPOSHA has disclosed the development.
Mr. MPOSHA says the Green Economy and Climate Change Bill once enacted will enable government and other stakeholders to sufficiently deal with the effects of climate change.
Meanwhile, Mr. MPOSHA says government is concerned with the rising cases of human-animal conflicts.
He says government is actively working with other stakeholders to arrest the situation.
Mr. MPOSHA was speaking in LUSAKA during the Fundraising Dinner for the forthcoming MALAILA Traditional Ceremony of the KUNDA People of Eastern Province.
At the same function, MALAILA Traditional Ceremony Organizing Committee Chairperson SANGA MATAKA acknowledged the importance of traditional ceremonies, in the quest to uphold cultural values.
Mr. MATAKA disclosed that K600,000 is required for the hosting of the MALAILA Traditional Ceremony.
