Govt to Pay Allowance owed to athletes

Government says all outstanding allowances will be paid to athletes including those taking part in the 2024 Paris Olympic games.
Sports Minister ELVIS NKANDU says his office is fully aware that funds are owed to various athletes who took part in various competitions and that the Government is determined to clear all outstanding arrears.
NKANDU says before the games come to an end, athletes that are taking part at the 2024 Olympic games will be paid their allowances including the local camping fee.
The Minister has assured athletes that the Government is determined to address their plight and ensure that they are well looked after.
And speaking on behalf of the coaches, HUMPHREY NYIRENDA has thanked the Government for the help rendered in preparing the athletes.
