Malaila traditional ceremony to be held in September
By Christopher Miti
The Malaila traditional ceremony of Mambwe District Eastern Province has been pushed to September 21st 2024.
The ceremony that was earlier set for August 24th 2024 was coinciding with the Kulamba traditional ceremony of the Chewa people in Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique.
The Kunda Royal Establishment Media Director DANIEL ZULU says the adjustment will enable a lot of dignitaries to attend the ceremony.
Mr ZULU says President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has pledged 100,000 Kwacha, while Vice-president MUTALE NALUMANGO has pledged 50,000 Kwacha towards the ceremony.
He has since extended an open invitation to members of the public to attend the ceremony.
