Ministry of Health with US support to launch digital health record program

Minister of Justice PRINCESS KASUNE has called on the United States government to help Zambia in the digitalisation of services for the Ministry of Health.

Ms KASUNE says the initiative will enhance capacity and improve service delivery within the health sector.

She said by leveraging technology, the government seeks to streamline operations and ensure better access to healthcare services for citizens.

Meanwhile, Ms KASUNE said the government will continue to rely on the partnership with the American government to support its efforts in achieving transparency, accountability and upholding the will of the people.

The Minister was speaking when a delegation from the United States Embassy called on her at her office.

And United States Ambassador to Zambia, MICHAEL GONZALES disclosed that he will soon co-host an event with the Ministry of Health to launch the Smart Care Programme, which aims at digitising records at health facility level.
