President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA is in Sinazongwe District in Southern Province where is expected to officiate at the ground ceremony for the Phase II of the 300 Megawatts Maamba Energy Thermal Power Plant.

The 400 million United States dollar project will be constructed within 24-months from August 2024 to July 2026.

The President arrived in Maamba this morning around 10 hrs .

He has since toured the power plant .
