HH Institutes survey for resource exploitation in Luapula
President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has instituted a one week Survey in Luapula province to establish urgent interventions that people need to utilise natural resources.
President HICHILEMA has tasked Luapula Province Minister NJAVWA SIMUTOWE to coordinate the survey with the Ministries of Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock, and Energy.
The President says among the considerations will be to put up fish cages in water bodies such as Lake Mweru in order to restock fish.
The President has since authorised two helicopters to be used in the survey.
Speaking when he addressed a Public Rally, shortly after arriving in Chienge District, President HICHILEMA said the Ministry of Energy should also look out for more investment in the energy sector in the province.
The President also said that Luapula province has fertile soils and there is NO need for people to suffer hence support from Government.
President HICHILEMA said government will support the people in the province to utilise the fertile soils to food secure.
The President is in the District to attend the BWILILE Traditional Ceremony this afternoon.
