3 Dogs maul Kitwe Man
A 32-year-old Kitwe man, GOODSON MWAPE, is nursing serious injuries after being attacked by three dogs.
The dogs strayed into his workplace, Egg City Company, located in Garneton Township.
Mr. MWAPE was attacked by the three stray dogs within his company premises as he reported for work in the morning, leaving him with severe cuts on his legs and stomach.
A ZNBC News crew that rushed to the scene found Mr. MWAPE, who was bleeding heavily from the legs, being attended to at Kitwe Teaching Hospital.
Doctors at Kitwe Teaching Hospital have described Mr. MWAPE’s condition as stable.
Kitwe Teaching Hospital Surgeon Dr. KELLY SAKUKONGA stated that Mr. MWAPE’S condition is improving.
Meanwhile, a community spokesperson, MWALE SEKELANI, said they are living in fear because the dogs are not secured.
Kitwe District Livestock Officer CHINDU SIMWINGA, who confirmed that the three dogs have been placed in animal welfare, advised dog owners to follow proper procedures when keeping vicious animals.
