HH praised for creating conducive mining environment
Arc Minerals Director and Executive Chairman NICK VON SCHIRNDING says President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has worked hard to woo investors and create an environment more conducive to mining, which remains the lifeblood of Zambia’s economy.
Mr. VON SCHIRNDING says President HICHILEMA’s turning around of Zambia’s economy is impressive.
He says he has met several senior people in the president’s office who have been tasked with implementing the changes that he wants to implement and that includes getting rid of the bad apples and sorting out historic corruption.
This is according to an article that appeared in The Mining Yearbook 2024, obtained by ZNBC News.
Mr. VON SCHIRNDING has pointedly noted that Zambia’s achievement is like that of President CYRIL RAMAPHOSA in South Africa who had dealt with similar issues.
