Civil servant’s demand for solar solutions on the rise
The Public Service Microfinance Company has recorded an increase in civil servants and public workers seeking financing for renewable energy equipment, particularly solar.
Company Chief Executive Officer MUBANGA MWIKO says over 150 million Kwacha has been disbursed under the agro facility since last year.
In an interview with ZNBC News, Mr. MWIKO explains that the financing covers agricultural equipment, including solar panels and irrigation pumps.
He attributed the rise in demand partly to ongoing load shedding.
